イスラエル軍によるガザ地区での虐殺が止まらない中、現地取材パートナー、Aysarさんからボイスメッセージが届きました。ぜひ多くの方に聞いていただければと思います。

こんにちは、ガザのアイサールです。イスラエル軍の侵攻から１年が経とうとしています。４万人以上の人々が命を奪われました。何十万もの人々が様々な怪我を負っています。１年という月日が経ち、人々の瞳から希望が失われていくのを感じます。それはとても危険なことです。希望を失えば、心も失ってしまうからです。

希望も残されているかもしれません。けれどいつこの状況が終わるのかわからないことに疲れ果てています。このような状況下では、時間はまるで野獣のように私たちを苦しめます。時折、家族と共にガザから避難しなかったことを後悔することもあります。こうした環境でひとりで生きていくことは、とても厳しいことです。毎晩、目を閉じるたびに、悲しみと鬱々とした気持ちに襲われます。

ガザに残っている兄弟もいて、毎週彼の家を訪ねます。彼は義母たちと避難生活を送っています。私はこの侵攻開始直後に生まれた彼の息子とよく遊びます。その子が笑うたびに、「彼はこのような世界で生きていくことはできない」と思ってしまいます。だからこそ、この侵攻が終わることを願わずにはいられません。

時々、原爆を投下された日本の人々について考えます。違いは、イスラエルは１年間にわたって核爆弾２発に相当する攻撃を行ったことです。日本の人々がこの虐殺を止めようとデモをしたり、声をあげていることに感謝します。本当に感謝しています。戦後の日本のように、私たちの社会も建て直せるのだと感じるのです。自由のために抗い続けようという力をもらっています。そして私たちもまた、世界のどこかで自由のために活動を続ける人々に、エールを送りたいです。より良い世界のために――。

《ENGLISH》

Hello. This is Aysar from Gaza. It’s now almost one year for the war. More than 40,000 people lost their lives. Hundreds of thousands are suffering from different kinds of injuries. After one year, I can see in people’s eyes that they started losing hope. And this is very dangerous when people lose hope, they start to lose their mind too.

I think there is hope, but it’s disappointing that we don’t even know when this war will would end. Time is a beast in this kind of circumstances. Sometimes I regret that I didn’t evacuate Gaza with my family. It’s a struggle to live alone in this kind of circumstances and situation. Sadness and depression is knocking every night whenever I close my eyes.

I still have one brother here. I go to visit him every week. He’s sheltering with his mother in law. I played with his son, who was born in the first month of the war. Whenever he laughs, I say to myself, he can’t live all his life in the world. That gives me some hope, Some hope that the war will end.

Sometimes I think about the Japanese people who suffered from the nuclear attacks during World War two. The difference is that Israel, through what equals two nuclear bombs over one year. But when I see Japanese people demonstrate and call to end the war on Gaza, I really feel appreciate that. We really appreciate this. It inspires me that we will stand on our legs again,just like Japanese people stood. And that will continue being, We will continue being fighters for our freedom. And we will also inspire, inspire those who need to fight for their freedom, for a better world.
